The Moment We’ve All Been Waiting For

The time has finally come. The moment we’ve all been eagerly anticipating! After months of meticulous planning, building, and pouring our hearts and souls into this project, we are thrilled to announce that we are ready for lift-off. It’s hard to articulate the excitement that comes from watching an idea, once scribbled on a piece of paper, transform into a fully-fledged reality. What began as a few rough notes has evolved into pages of strategic plans and aspirations, all leading to this incredible launch.

On July 20th, Find Me Labour officially went live! Our first job took place at the University of Queensland, where a dedicated crew of six workers assembled over 2,000 square meters of marquee equipment in just two days. Once the event was over, they swiftly disassembled the marquees in a single day before moving the equipment to Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and starting the entire process all over again. In our very first week, over 12 workers utilized the app, logging an impressive 650 hours. It was clear. Find Me Labour had truly taken flight!

After all our months of preparation, it was exhilarating to see every feature of the app in action right from the start. One standout moment came when a worker received a “please confirm your availability” notification for the next day’s shift. He promptly reached out to the company manager through the app to inform him that he wouldn’t be able to make it. Thanks to the app’s seamless communication features, the manager was able to quickly substitute in one of the reserve workers on the list. Within just 20 minutes, everything was resolved, and the job order was back to full capacity, all while it was 8 PM on a Friday night!

The app’s ability to facilitate what would traditionally be a cumbersome task is nothing short of remarkable. In a conventional labor hire system, such quick communication and flexibility would be nearly impossible. Most agencies wouldn’t even be available for a call at that hour, let alone be able to coordinate a substitute worker on short notice. Typically, workers wouldn’t have a direct line to the companies employing them, leaving both parties in the dark.

This experience encapsulates everything we envisioned for Find Me Labour. We set out to create a platform that simplifies and streamlines the labor hiring process, and seeing it in action during our very first week is nothing short of validation. We’re excited about what lies ahead and can’t wait to continue helping businesses and workers connect in real-time, making every job easier and more efficient.
