Information for Workers
How can I apply for work?
Firstly, you need to download the app. Please click the ‘Download App’ button on the website or go to the Google Play or Apple App Store.
FML cannot create your account for you, but we are happy to talk you through it. Click on the contact us button to find our details
Secondly, create an account. Once you have downloaded the app you need to create an account, this will include bank details so you can be paid. A full account needs to be created before applying for your first post. Make sure you put as many details as possible about your experience in your profile as this will be sent to the employers you are applying for jobs for.
Finally, once your full account has been created you are ready to rumble.
On the ‘Home’ page you will be able to see ‘Explore projects’ click on the arrow. This is your jobs board, you will be able to see jobs that are in a 100km radius of your location, you will also receive notifications of any new jobs. You will be able to search for jobs or change your location setting so you can see jobs in different locations, perfect if you are moving around the country.
To apply for a job simply click the project that you are interested in and click ‘Apply now’ you will be notified by the employers if you got the job.
You do not have to apply for all the shifts that are shown in the project. Just click the ones you are available for.
After applying what next?
Down the bottom of the app, the second button from the right is the ‘My Projects’ button.
Here you will be able to see all your Accepted, Pending (waiting for approval) and Declined projects.
Once you have been accepted for a job, you can now see more details about this job, also you will be able to communicate with the employer and the employer will be able to communicate with you.
Make sure you check your shifts and make sure you have not double booked yourself.
How do I communicate with my employer for my project?
In the ‘My Projects’ section you will be able to see a ‘Chat’ button on the projects you have be accepted for. This is where you can communicate with your employer. Your employer may communicate with you too, with additional information about the job. Make sure you keep an eye out and check your emails or text message.
How do sign offs work?
Once the days work has been completed, you will fill in your ‘Sign off’ sheets in the app, this will be sent to your employer for approval.
You will be able to manage this in the ‘Sign off’ section in the app.
In this section you will see your projects and sign off sheets that need to fill in. Make sure you do this daily as this is the way that the payment is triggered in the app. If the employer thinks your sign off sheet is incorrect they will decline it. You will have to resubmit.
Once the sign off sheet has been approved the payment is taken from the employer.
When do I get Paid?
You will be paid every Friday of each week directly into your account.
How much does this cost?
The App is free to use.
What do I get paid?
A Skilled Labourer will be paid $40.00 per hour minimum of 4 hours per shift
A Captain or Forklift driver will be paid $45.00 per hour minimum 4 hours per shift
What is a Captain? (Event specialist)
A Captain is a proven leader, someone that has 5+ years of event hire experience. A person that can lead a team, problem solve and build event structures confidently.
(Background checks are done to verify qualifications)
